Mission Trails Regional Park is a large, beautiful park in San Diego, California. Mission Trails offers visitors many different trails to explore and enjoy. The Mission Trail Loop Trail provides an easy loop for hikers of all levels while the Rock Spring Nature Area has a more difficult trail that winds through oak forests and along creekside paths. Mission Trails Regional Park is located in the Mission Gorge area in San Diego, California. Mission Trails offers a variety of activities for both children and adults such as hiking trails, horseback riding (reservations required), bicycling along marked and unmarked routes, picnicking with barbecues available on weekends only from November to March, fishing in designated areas that have bait vending machines or you can bring your own. Mission Trails has three small lakes used for fishing: Lake Murray which is stocked every Wednesday evening during the summer season; Lake Hodges which also has an abundance of carp and catfish with limited trout stocking throughout the year; Lakeside Lagoon where most anglers target largemouth bass when it’s open (currently closed).
